Children's Running Opportunites
The LRRC encourages children's running and has an LRRC Kid's Race Series, where children receive a special award if they participate in 3 of 4 events (LRRC Summer Track Series, Amazing Mile, John A. Stephenson Youth Run, and the CASA Superhero Run).
The LRRC wants to esnure that children run safely and have adopted the following limits based on guidance provided by the Cleveland Clinic and the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA)

The 31st annual John A. Stephenson Youth Run will be held Saturday October 12, 2024 in Riverside Park
The Amazing Mile Childrens' Run is held Friday evening (September 27, 2024) and is part of the LRRC Kid's Race Series
The LRRC Summer Track Series offers kid's races every Tuesday in June at the University of Lynchburg at 630 pm. These races are part of the LRRC Kid's Race Series
The CASA Superhero Run offers a 5K run for adults and older children and a 1 mile run for younger children. The kid's race is part of the LRRC Kid's race series.
